I wish the app would stop asking for a rating. That said, I've used Avast, exclusively, for my antivirus and maintenance needs for well over a decade. Not only has Avast unfailingly safeguarded my equipment, but the features available in the premium version have really helped to keep my hardware operating at like-new efficiency. Update, a couple years later: yup, still awesome.

Avast is operating well - deleting junk files, alerting me to compromised accounts, etc. However Avast BLOCKED internet connectivity on my Dell computer. Per standard reasoning - what did I LAST INSTALL on that computer? Avast. Uninstalled Avast and internet connectivity returned, so that was disappointing. That said, no issues with the mobile version of Avast so far and A LOT CHEAPER THAN Norton. If I can make Avast work on my Dell PC, then it is curtains for my expensive Norton!

I paid for a subscription to avast mobile security, but still get adverts to upgrade. I have avast cleanup installed also and it's confusing & difficult to know what's actually needed to be safe online. There seems to be crossover of the apps but it's difficult to distinguish what's best, or needed!. Is the upgraded security app doing the same as the basic cleanup app? Feeling like I should upgrade, upgrade & upgrade more! But do I need to? No idea 🙁🤔
